Health Insurance And Occupy Wallstreet

Health Insurance An Issue For Some Occupiers

I am sure you have all seen the occupy “insert city here” protests going on. They are raging, or rather not raging from coast to coast. There is no collective demands from them, just people who want change. Some people want government change, some want financial change, and some just want pocket change.

Health Insurance On The Right

There are some who feel entitled to free health insurance, and this raises a big question, should the government step in and give free health insurance. This question will cause a stir, as one side or the other feel it is wrong. The people who want less government feel that there is no need for government health insurance. When the government steps in, it becomes a racket, and taxpayers are on the losing end. They also argue that the government, which is in debt, cannot afford to hand out free health insurance.

Health Insurance on the left

On the other hand, the people who want a financial change would feel different. Their view on the private market of health insurance is that there is no oversight. They feel that health insurance companies charge too much for lower income people to afford. If the government steps in, it could lower the cost. This could also provide some oversight and regulations on tort reform. This could help also lower the cost of health insurance.

Health Insurance Down The Middle

I agree with both sides of the coin on this one. There needs to be government programs in place to help people afford health insurance, but at the same time it could prove too costly for the country. Either way something needs to be done. Health insurance is important for people to have, and the fact that many can’t afford it shows there is a problem with the system. It is basically telling lower income people they cannot get the help that they need at an affordable price.
